Does quantum physics play a role in our everyday lives?
“There is a world that is so crazy that we can hardly imagine it. Yet this world, the quantum world, is completely real, and we even live in the midst of it.”
In research, quantum physics is a rich source of new ideas and insights. Yet it fundamentally contradicts reality, as we know it. Robert Löw guides us through the fascinating world of quanta and explains what matter waves, spooky remote effects and entangled states are all about. Moreover, he shows the extraordinary potential of the new quantum technologies.
