The Hot Vapor Workshop 2024 will take place in Stuttgart from September 30th to October 2nd at the Old Castle (Altes Schloss). This event brings together experts from across Europe to explore the latest advancements in hot atomic vapor research. While cold atomic systems have gained more attention in recent decades, hot atomic vapors hold unique potential for practical applications, especially in quantum technology. The workshop will cover topics such as quantum sensing, non-linear spectroscopy, and atomic clocks, with contributions from renowned researchers. This is the third edition of this new established conference series organized by Robert Löw (University of Stuttgart), Ilja Gerhardt (University of Hannover), Stefan Scheel (University of Rostock), Athanasios Laliotis (Université Sorbonne Paris Nord), and Arne Wickenbrock (Helmholtz Institute Mainz). The conference offers experimentalists and theorists the opportunity to discuss potential new technologies in the fields of quantum sensing, quantum optics, and metrology arising from fundamental research.
